1. Start XShell, click "Tools" - "User Key Manager" to import or manage key.

2. Click "Import" and select the downloaded ".pem" format Private Key.

3. Then click "File" - "New", then type "Name" and "Host".

4. Click "Authentication" in the left, change "Method" to "Public Key", type "root" to the "User Name" and select previous added Private Key in the "User Key". Left empty if you didn't encrypt the Private Key.

5. Click "OK" or "Connect". XShell will ask you for Security Alert confirmation at the first time to connect. Choose "Accept and Save".

6. Then we are connected.
